Last Flight Home by Robert Taylor

A very rare Robert Taylor print signed by four legendary VC holders.

A flight of RAF Bomber Command’s most famous heavy bomber, the magnificent Avro Lancaster, makes a safe return to base after a tough daylight raid on enemy positions in the weeks following D-Day, 1944.
An outstanding painting by Robert Taylor that has already secured its place in aviation art history.

Last Flight Home by Robert Taylor

We are selling a copy of this print on behalf of one of our collectors. This example has never been framed and has been stored flat and dark for many years so the image area is bright and unfaded. It has some light evidence of handling but nothing too serious. There is a mark in the lower third of the image area of the print a few millimetres across, it is not visible when looking directly at the print but can be seen when the print is held a certain angles. Overall this is an excellent example of a print that is now nearly 30 years old and an important piece of aviation art history. Viewing recommended.
